Gene Information

This gene encodes one of four mammalian counterparts to the fruit fly 'dunce' gene. The encoded protein has 3'5'-cyclic-AMP phosphodiesterase activity and degrades cAMP which acts as a signal transduction molecule in multiple cell types.
